Edsthetic builds precision-engineered software for Australian schools — purpose-built by educators who understand the classroom, the workload, and what actually matters.
Generic software is designed by technologists guessing at educator needs. Edsthetic is different — every feature, every workflow, and every design decision comes from practitioners who live inside the same systems you do.
The result is software that fits the way schools actually work: the timetabling pressures, the assessment loads, the accountability requirements, and the students who need more than a generic tool can give them.
Edsthetic is founded by a practising lead educator. Every decision — feature scope, interface design, language and tone — reflects daily school experience, not theoretical product research.
WriteIQ aligns to the Australian Curriculum and IB MYP. AllocateIQ is built around Australian school structures. Not adapted international tools — built here, for here.
Student data processed exclusively in Australian data centres (AWS Sydney). Row Level Security, SSO via Google/Microsoft, Privacy Act 1988 compliant. Security is built in, not bolted on.
All pricing is per school, per product, billed annually. No per-user fees. No hidden charges. Pilot schools receive preferred pricing and direct input into the product roadmap.

WriteIQ and AllocateIQ are entering pilot phase in 2026. We're inviting a limited number of schools to join early — with direct input into the product and preferred pricing at commercial launch.
If you're a Head of Learning Support, Curriculum Leader, or Deputy Principal who's spent too long working around tools that don't fit — this is for you.
We'll be in touch as we approach the pilot launch.
WriteIQ is a structured writing assessment platform for Years 3–12. It delivers fast, consistent, criterion-referenced feedback on student writing — aligned to the Australian Curriculum and IB MYP frameworks — through a scoring engine built on the same logic that experienced human markers apply. Teachers spend less time marking and more time responding to what the evidence reveals.

Assessment criteria mapped to AC v9 literacy strands and IB MYP Language and Literature rubrics. Criterion-by-criterion feedback that mirrors your actual assessment documentation — for every year level from Year 3 to Year 12.
Years 3–12Class and year-level heatmaps surface patterns at a glance. Identify students needing support, those ready for extension, and where specific writing skills are breaking down — without manually cross-referencing results.
AnalyticsManage multiple assessment tasks running simultaneously across different classes, year levels, and task types. Group students by class or cohort. WriteIQ handles the complexity so you don't have to.
OrganisationWriteIQ automatically scans submitted writing for indicators of distress, self-harm, or welfare concern. Flagged entries are held in a secure audit trail with timestamps — supporting your wellbeing team's duty of care without adding process overhead.
WellbeingTrack individual student writing development across multiple years — with name normalisation that handles class changes, spelling variations, and student roll changes. Leadership gets longitudinal data; teachers get context.
Growth TrackingCriterion-referenced feedback is generated in seconds, not hours — scored against validated descriptors and applied consistently across every student in the cohort. No fatigue effects. No drift between the first script and the last. Teachers review and endorse before anything reaches a student.
EfficiencyGenerate a formatted class report for any task or cohort — ready to print or export as PDF. Each student's report includes criterion scores, structured feedback for each criterion, and a single targeted improvement focus: one clear, actionable next step drawn from their lowest-scoring criterion. Designed for parent interviews, student conferences, and reporting cycles.
ReportingBefore any score is returned, WriteIQ applies 15 mandatory logic gates: rules like "Vocabulary cannot exceed Audience" and "4 or more stray capitals caps Punctuation at 3." These are not approximations — they are the exact constraints applied by experienced markers at standardisation. The framework is ours. The logic is yours.
WriteIQ generates a draft assessment — teachers review, adjust if needed, and endorse before any feedback is returned. The platform is a time-saving first pass, not a black box. You stay in the loop and in control of every score that matters.
The WriteIQ scoring framework was built and refined against real student writing, calibrated to human marking benchmarks at each year level. We use language analysis to apply the criteria — and we're transparent about how. Student writing is never used to retrain or modify the framework without school consent.

AllocateIQ replaces the spreadsheets, email chains, and guesswork that most schools use to manage Learning Support Officers. It's a purpose-built coordination platform — the only one designed specifically for Australian schools — that gives coordinators real-time visibility across the whole LSO team.

Plan LSO deployment across a full 10-week term with day-by-day, session-by-session precision. See the whole term at once, make bulk changes, and maintain a clear audit trail of every scheduling decision.
PlanningLog and classify leave — personal leave, professional development, sick leave, TOIL — and track availability changes in real time. The system flags coverage gaps before they become problems on the day.
Leave ManagementAssign casual relief LSOs to fill gaps quickly, with full visibility of their availability, qualifications, and previous deployment history. Keep coverage records clean without a separate spreadsheet for casuals.
ReliefWhen circumstances change mid-term, swap LSO allocations without rebuilding the whole schedule. Changes are logged automatically — maintaining a clear record of who was where and when.
FlexibilityRecord which students are enrolled in structured programs — Macqlit, QuickSmart, and others — and track LSO assignment to those programs. Connect deployment decisions to student intervention data in one system.
Student SupportA real-time overview of every LSO's status across the school. Export deployment summaries, leave records, and coverage reports in one click — ready for leadership reporting, NCCD documentation, and compliance audits.
ReportingWhen an LSO calls in sick at 8am, the coordinator has to manually update a spreadsheet, contact classroom teachers, and find a replacement — often across multiple files, with no single source of truth.
Spreadsheets don't log who made changes or when. When a question arises about LSO deployment or student support — in a NCCD review or a parent meeting — there's no reliable record to refer to.
A spreadsheet tracks where an LSO is. AllocateIQ tracks where the student is — who they're working with, which program they're in, and how consistently they're being supported across the term.

Edsthetic handles student data — including data relating to minors. Security is a foundational design principle, not a feature we added later. Every technical decision starts with the question: how do we protect this data?
All school and student data is stored and processed within Australia. Persistent data lives exclusively in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Writing samples submitted to WriteIQ are processed via a secure server-side proxy operated by Edsthetic — schools never transmit data directly to any overseas service.
AWS SydneyEvery database table in both products enforces Row Level Security at the database layer. A user authenticated to School A cannot access School B's data — even if they obtain a valid token.
Multi-Tenant SafeData encrypted at rest with AES-256. All connections enforced over TLS 1.2 minimum. HTTPS everywhere, with automatic certificate renewal via Netlify.
AES-256 · TLS 1.2+No separate Edsthetic password for most users. Teachers authenticate via your existing Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 identity — the credentials your IT team already manages.
Google · Microsoft · SAML 2.0An independent penetration test will be commissioned prior to commercial launch, covering authentication, cross-school data isolation, injection vulnerabilities, and privilege escalation. Results available to IT departments on request under NDA.
Pre-Launch AuditEdsthetic complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and all 13 Australian Privacy Principles. Notifiable Data Breach scheme obligations are documented and rehearsed. A Data Processing Agreement is executed with every school before data is processed.
